The KAIROS Blanket Exercise program promotes reconciliation through public education and understanding. It is a unique, participatory history lesson – developed in collaboration with Indigenous Elders, knowledge keepers and educators – that fosters truth, understanding, respect and reconciliation among Indigenous and non-indigenous peoples.

In partnership with KAIROS and Kateri Native Ministry, the Blanket Exercise was offered to organizations working within Bronson Centre/Bronson RISE on Sunday March 8th, 2020 – International Women’s Day. This is the first time in the 20-year history of Kateri Native Ministry and KAIROS - as tenants of the Bronson Centre – that the Blanket Exercise has been hosted for members of the Bronson Centre community. The purpose is to utilize the learning experience to build common understanding of our shared vision, values and aspirations for a more equitable, respectful and just society – celebrating inclusivity and diversity – through shared learning about the history of Indigenous peoples.
