Women’s Initiatives for Safer Environments (WISE) in partnership with the Bronson RISE is in the process of completing a Community Safety Audit of the Bronson Centre. This event is also co-run with the Centretown Community Police Officer, Stephanie Lemieux. Bronson Centre organizations were invited to join us in the Bronson Centre front lobby on March 12, 2020 to help conduct PART 1 of the audit. PART 2 of the audit will be scheduled soon.

During a Safety Audit, participants walk around a designated area and identify possible safety concerns from the criteria on their checklist. The findings are then used to form the basis for an action plan to address those issues and make the area safer. We will follow the audit with a brief discussion about the initial findings and top priorities and also what work is currently being done to improve the safety of the Bronson Centre..
