AA Ottawa Area Intergroup


Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Abbeyfield Canada


Abbeyfield Canada supports and promotes local community-based and volunteer-led Abbeyfield Societies to develop and manage local Abbeyfield Houses, which provide independent seniors with affordable residences.

Action Santé Manta Internationale (ASMI)


AMI implements concrete projects aimed at the promotion of health and functional education with the aim of combating the effects of poverty and unemployment of young people and adults, and the aging of the elderly and those facing the loss of autonomy.

BEING Studio


BEING Studio opened its doors in 2002 under the name H’Art of Ottawa. The studio supports artists with developmental disabilities who work in visual art and creative writing.

Bereaved Families of Ontario


The mandate of the Bereaved Families of Ontario is to achieve by means of public awareness campaigns, local affiliate development and fundraising activities towards people experiencing grief.

Brain Injury Association of the Ottawa Valley


The Association assists those who live with the effects of brain injury by providing education, information, support and advocacy. The Association advocates dignity, respect, inclusion and understanding for all.

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) – Ottawa


CoSA is a reintegration program for former offenders who seek help, voluntarily, in their effort to develop a meaningful and crime-free life. CoSA-Ottawa is the local branch of 15 CoSA sites operating across Canada.

Club Casa de los Abuelos


The Club assists the elderly in the Spanish-speaking community, providing a safe haven for our parents and grandparents to meet and socialize. Several personal interest classes are offered at the centre, bringing the elderly out of isolation and helping them enjoy a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Dalhousie Food Cupboard


DFC’s mandate is to provide food to ease the financial burden of those residents in our serving area who are unable to purchase a steady supply of groceries. Conditional on available inventory, we offer, once a month, roughly a three day’s supply of emergency food to families in need. We also provide assistance to our clients by referring them to other community support services in the area. We are dedicated to serving all our clients with consideration and respect.

Dalhousie

Non-profit Housing Co-operative


Dalhousie Non-Profit Housing Cooperative is a unique cooperative made up of eight different building clusters in the heart of Ottawa. There are 18 buildings and 83 units in total that span neighbourhoods from Raymond to Albert Street. Various apartment buildings and townhouses make up the co-op. It is owned and democratically controlled by its membership to provide affordable and reliable housing as well as foster a diverse community in downtown Ottawa.

Elizabeth Fry Society of Ottawa

(E Fry)


The Society offers assistance to women, including young women, who have or may be at risk of coming into conflict with the law. It does this, and has been for over fifty years, through a variety of programs and services – confidential and free of charge. Clients are referred through criminal justice workers, social workers, doctors and social agencies, through friends or self-referral.

Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton (EOC)


EOC provides support, information, education, counselling and advocacy for persons with epilepsy and their families as well as the general public. Public Information Meetings are held at the Bronson Centre on the first non-holiday Monday of the month from September to May.

Peace Brigades International – Canada


PBI volunteers act as Canada’s – and the world’s – eyes and ears. Not only do they accompany human rights defenders, they also serve as Canada’s ‘human rights radar’. Governments and media rely on the PBI network to keep them updated on the latest human rights developments in the world’s hot spots.

Vista Centre Brain Injury Services


Our mission is to provide continual support to adults living with the effect of brain injury, facilitating the enhancement of the individual’s quality of life, relationships, personal abilities, and life skills, while assisting in the rebuilding of their life in the community. Vista Centre offers a 24 hour Residential Program, a Supported Independent Living Program and a Day Program.

Women’s Initiatives For Safer Environments (WISE)
